MVJCE marks and values the presence of an Alumnus, Mrs.RajniEktaSoharu, Registrar, University of New Orleans (UNO), LA of the class of 1997 to 2001 (Telecommunication Engineering) on her visit to MVJCE during her visit to Bangalore.
She has worked at UNO since 2006, in the capacity of Assistant Registrar for Technology, Associate Registrar for Technology, and Director of Catalog and Curriculum. She has a B.E. in Telecommunication Engineering (Bangalore University, India), M.S. in Engineering Management (UNO), M.B.A. with Management of Information Systems Concentration (UNO) and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Engineering Management.
After a discussion on opportunities for students to pursue higher studies in UNO with Dr.Gunasekaran, Principal, MVJCE, Dr.SatishBabu, Registrar, MVJCE and Maj. General M.S. Prakash, Director, Corporate Affairs and Placement, MVJCE, Mrs.RajniEktaSoharu shared her experiences with the students of MVJCE at Smt. Rajalakshmi Seminar Hall.
Students across various branches at MVJCE had the opportunity to obtain first-hand information on studying abroad, the difference between student life in U.S. and student life in India and challenges faced in studying oversees. Ms.Rajni also reminisced on her student life at MVJCE and shared her journey thus far leading up to an eminent position as the Registrar of UNO. She gave sound advice to everyone present from her experiences in life as a working woman, a mom, an administrator, and PhD. Scholar.
The session ended with many queries and wishes from students and Prof. Brindha M., Vice Principal MVJCE handed over a memento to Ms.Rajni as a token of appreciation from MVJCE.
