Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering organized a guest lecture on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles by Shri P S Krishnan, a Member of the Board of Governors (BoG) at MVJCE and Former Director at ADE Labs, DRDO. The lecture took place on July 24, 2023, a Monday, at the Dr. M V Jayaraman Auditorium, running from 10:30 AM to 01:00 PM. The guest lecture was specifically intended for 4th semester students of Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering. A total of 37 students from the 4th semester of Mechanical Engineering, 43 students from the 4th semester of Aeronautical Engineering, and 82 students from the 4th semester of Aerospace Engineering participated in the event.

Guest Lecture on Flight Mechanics

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering of MVJ College of Engineering organized a Guest Lecture on Flight Mechanics, on 4th March, 2023. The event started at 10.00 am at Rajalakshmi Seminar Hall. Around 288 students from the Aeronautical and Aerospace programmes participated in this event.

Guest Lecture on Capability Enhancement

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering, MVJ College of Engineering, organized a Guest Lecture on ‘Capability Enhancement’, on 7th January, 2023.

The event started at 10.40 am, in Seminar Hall 5. Around 110 students from Aeronautical and Aerospace departments participated in this event. The major objective of this event was to educate students on the various ways in which they can develop their capabilities, so that they are ready for the future in the Aeronautical and Aerospace Industries.

Guest Lecture on ‘Study on the Sun”

The Department of Aerospace Engineering, MVJCE in association with the Astronomy club organized a Guest Lecture on ‘Study on the Sun” from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm, on 25th October, 2019. Prof. Dr. Dipankar Banerjee an Astrophysicist, working in the Indian Institute of Astrophysics was the Guest speaker. He explained about the different IIA sites in India, and followed it up with site description and a brief description on Ladakh IIA site. He spoke about solar magneto hydrodynamics (MHD): a theoretical study of MHD wave propagation in striated atmospheres. He presented his observations of chromospheres and coronal oscillations, density and temperature diagnostics in the solar atmosphere. 300 participants from the Astronomy Club attended this Guest Lecture enthusiastically.

Guest Lecture on ‘To the Moon and Beyond (A Neil Armstrong Retrospective and Perspective)

The Department of Aerospace Engineering, MVJCE, organized a Guest Lecture on ‘To the Moon and Beyond (A Neil Armstrong Retrospective and Perspective)’. Dr.Jayant Murthy, Director, Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore was the Guest speaker. The session was held from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm, on 29.03.2019. The Lecture started with a brief introduction to the memorable Neil Armstrong video footage on the moon – the impact of Neil Armstrong as the First man on the moon, before and after sputnik. The lecture enabled students to enhance their understanding of the International Space Station, and the current technologies used in International space station. The guest lecture was attended by 105 members of the Astronomy Club, MVJCE
