Admission Procedure:For Indian Students:

  • Admission to Undergraduate Engineering programmes may be obtained through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) examination and selection process, or through the Management Admission process.

    Eligibility Criteria: CET Admission Process

    • Student should have passed II PUC / 12th Standard or equivalent examination, with English as one of the languages, and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science. In case of SC/ST and OBC (Cat-1,2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B category) students from Karnataka, the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40%.
    • Student should have cleared the entrance test conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka – KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)

    Eligibility Criteria: Management Admission Process

    • Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Standard examination with English as one of the Languages and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.” In case of Karnataka SC, ST, and OBC candidates, the minimum aggregate percentage shall be 40%.

    Note:

    It is mandatory for students seeking admission through the Management Admission process, to undergo an online test in the campus.

    • Student should have passed Diploma or equivalent examination as recognized by the University, and secured not less than 45% marks in the final year examination (fifth and sixth semesters), in the appropriate branch of Engineering. In case of SC/ST and OBC Students from Karnataka, the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40%.
    • Student should have cleared the entrance test conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka – KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)
  • Admission to MVJCE Post-graduate programmes may be obtained through the Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) examination and selection process, or through the Management Admission process.

    Eligibility Criteria: PGCET Admission process

    • MTech – Aeronautical Engineering

      Student should have a Bachelor Degree in Aeronautical / Mechanical / Civil / Industrial Engineering & Manufacturing / Industrial Production / Automobile Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE in the appropriate branch), with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

      Qualifying Entrance Test (Either option):

      1. GATE
      2. PG-CET
    • MTech – Computer Science & Engineering

      Student should have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Science & Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE, in the appropriate branch) with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

      Qualifying Entrance Test (Either option):

      1. GATE
      2. PG-CET
    • MTech – Transportation Engineering

      Student should have a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Technology / Transportation Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE, in the appropriate branch) with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

      Qualifying Entrance Test (Either option):

      1. GATE
      2. PG-CET
    • MTech – Structural Engineering

      Student should have a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Technology (or equivalent degree such as AMIE, in the appropriate branch) with a minimum aggregate of 60%.

      Qualifying Entrance Test (Either option):

      2. PG-CET
    • M.Tech – Artificial Intelligence & Data Science

      Student should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer science & engineering / Information science & engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE in the appropriate branch), with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

      Qualifying Entrance Test (Either option):

      2. PG-CET
    • M.Tech – Electronics & Communication Engineering (Advanced Communication Technology)

      Student should have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering & Technology in Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Computer & Communication Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE in the appropriate branch), with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

      Qualifying Entrance Test (Either option):

      1. GATE
      2. PG-CET
    • M.Tech – Electronics & Communication Engineering (VLSI Design)

      Student should have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering & Technology in Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Industrial IoT / Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology) / Electronics & Computer Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE in the appropriate branch), with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

      Qualifying Entrance Test (Either option):

      1. GATE
      2. PG-CET
  • Admission to MVJCE Post-graduate programmes may be obtained through the Karnataka Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) examination and selection process, or through the Management Admission process.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    Student should have a Bachelor Degree from a recognized University, with not less than 50% (Management Admission: 60%) aggregate marks. In case of students from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category – I, the aggregate shall not be less than 45%.

    Note: A student seeking admission through the Management Admission process, should have cleared any one of the examinations below:

    • Post graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET)
    • Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT)
    • CAT (Scores)
    • XAT (Scores)
    • MAT Scores

    Admission Procedure: For International / NRI Students

    International / NRI students seeking admission at MVJ College of Engineering through the Management Admission process are requested to contact the Admission Cell at the college campus, directly, and obtain the Application Form.

    Eligibility:

    Student should have passed II PUC / 12th Standard or equivalent examination, with English as one of the languages and obtained a Minimum of 60% aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry / Bio- Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.

    The student is not required to appear for any of the tests. The college will conduct an interview and tests. The assessment process prior to granting admission is as per rules mandated by the University.

    Students who have passed the qualifying exam from a Board other than the Boards mentioned in the VTU list, have to obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, before the confirmation of their admission in the college.
