Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Report On Seminar On “Open Source Software”
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning had organized a Seminar on “Open Source Software” on 29th October 2021 at 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, for the B.E. Second year students of Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the Dr. MV Jayaraman Auditorium of our college. 256 students have attended the event along with the Department Faculties.
The Resource Person for the seminar was Dr. Anbunathan R, Founder and CEO, DigiTran Solutions, Bangalore, India. The Co-coordinators for the Seminar was Dr. M Dhanalakshmi, Professor/CSE, Dr. Bhuvaneshwari P - Assistant Professor /CSE, and Dr. Sudhan M B, Associate Professor/AI&ML, MVJ College of Engineering, Bangalore.
The event started with a prayer song. Dr. M Dhanalakshmi, welcomed the gathering and Introduced our chief guest. Dr. Bhuvaneshwari P gave bouquet to the chief guest as a token of gratitude for accepting our invitation
The Seminar lasted for two hours and the topics covered are Basics of open Source software, Business model for open source software, Various projects using open source software, Maintaining Integrity, Scalability, and Security using open source software, and Applications of open source software .The feedback was collected from the students and they have felt that the seminar was useful and excellent. The session was ended with the vote of thanks.
