The Curriculum of the VLSI Design and Technology, under the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, has been framed based on NEP guidelines, with a focus on Multidisciplinary education. All the recommendations of the NEP have been carefully adopted while framing the Course structure. Suggestions and recommendations of experts from both academia and industry have been carefully considered and incorporated into the Curriculum. Students are offered the flexibility to select courses of their choice – an integral recommendation of NEP - through a Choice Based Credit System.

This course endows the students with in-depth knowledge in the domains of VLSI Design and Technology, Analog and Digital Electronics and Mathematics in Microchip design, to name a few. Industrial visits and Project work, which also carry stipulated credits, are the highlights of this course - these provide students with hands-on experience and industrial exposure.

Industrial Internship training is an important part of the Curriculum, where students will be working in an Industry related to their area of specialization, for a minimum period of 4 weeks. This gives them an exposure to the technological advancements in practice, making them comfortable in an Industrial environment.
