The Curriculum of Advanced Communication Technology, under the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, has been framed based on NEP guidelines, with a focus upon Multidisciplinary education. All the recommendations of the NEP have been carefully adopted while designing the Course. Suggestions and recommendations of experts from both Academia and Industry have been carefully considered and incorporated into the Curriculum. Students learn about the latest system designing and characterization tools,complemented by real life experimentation.This will enable them to gain insightsinto the current trends in the industries. They are offered the flexibility to select courses of their choice – an important recommendation of NEP, this has been implemented through a Choice-based Credit System.

This Undergraduate programmeon Advanced Communication Technology endows students with thorough knowledge in the domains of Wireless & Optical Communication, RF & Microwave Communication, Mathematics in Communication, Laser Communication and Advanced Signal Processing, to name a few. Industrial visits and Project work form an integral part of the course –these activities not only keep the students abreast of latest technological advancements, but also gives them hands-on experience. There are also stipulated credits for these visits and projects.

Industrial Internship is an important part of the Curriculum - students will have to work in an Industry related to their area of specialization, for a minimum period of 4 weeks. This not only gives them an exposure to the technological advancements in practice, but also makes them comfortable in an industrial milieu.
