SRISHTI Club, Department of Civil Engineering, MVJCE, organized an event Model making of Bridges, on 29th November, 2023. The main objective of this event was to encourage students to look beyond their textual knowledge and co-relate the theories they learn in the classroom with the application of these learnt concepts. The event was conducted in Seminar Hall 4. 32 students and all the faculty members from the Civil Engineering department participated.
The Event comprised two rounds.
ROUND 1: Students make bridge model with available materials.(08.10 am - 10.10 am)
The students were divided into teams, with a maximum of five students in each team. with the available materials (Popsicle sticks and glue).
ROUND 2: Presentation of the developed model, to the Resource Person (10:10 am - 11:10 am)
The students presented the results they had arrived at, to the Chief Guest Dr. Raghunath S B, Group Chief Managing Director, Protect Group Engineering Service providers, Bengaluru.
Announcement of Result (11:10 pm - 01:10 pm)
The Chief Guest gave the Keynote Address, after which the results were announced.

The event helped to foster a healthy interaction among participants. It helped them learn about Bridge - Designs, in detail. It kindled their ideas, and prompted them to deliver models with ecological relevance, through knowledge, skills and professional expertise.
