Seminar on Recent Trends in Advanced Cloud Computing
A Seminar on ‘Recent Trends in Advanced Cloud Computing’ was organized by CSE Department on 11th June, 2022, from 09:00 am to 12:00 pm. Mr. Girish Sainath, Technical Architect, DevOps, Accenture ASW, Bengaluru, was the Guest Speaker. The welcome note was given by our student Mr. Santhosh, III-year, Department of CSE, MVJCE. The program was presided over by Dr. P. Mahabaleswarappa (Principal, MVJCE), Dr. M. Brindha (Vice Principal, MVJCE), Dr. Lourdu Antony Raj (COE), Prof. Kumar (Registrar) and Prof. Tamilarasi (HOD/CSE).
The Seminar had been organized for III-year CSE students. The event aimed to give the students an idea about the basics of Cloud Computing, including storage, AWS applications and Installation. The Seminar sought to expose the students to the various aspects related to Cloud Computing, including the advanced concepts, and make them understand how AWS plays a vital role in the real world today.

Cloud computing infrastructure accelerates and fosters the adoption of innovations. Cloud computing can enable innovations. It alleviates the need of innovators to find resources to develop, test, and make their innovations available to the user community. Innovators are free to focus on the innovation rather than on the logistics of finding and managing the resources that enable the innovation. Cloud computing helps leverage innovations as early as possible, to deliver business value to a company and its customers.
The Resource Person Mr. Girish Sainath discussed the features and functionalities of Cloud computing. He explained that Cloud computing infrastructure allows enterprises to achieve a more efficient use of their IT hardware and software investments. Cloud computing can increase profitability by improving resource utilization. Pooling resources into large clouds brings down costs and increases utilization by delivering resources only for as long as those resources are needed. Cloud computing allows individuals, teams, and organizations to streamline procurement processes, and eliminates the need to duplicate certain computer administrative skills related to setup, configuration, and support.

As such, the secure development of AWS cloud is very important to the modern world of technology, as most web technology stands on the shoulders of reliable and secure servers.

Outcome of the Event
Participants got a lot of insight on Cloud Computing and its importance. The students gained knowledge in Advanced topics of Cloud computing. This knowledge is essential for installation of AWS instances and for configuring virtual machines.
Overall, it was a very informative session and the students gained a lot of knowledge on AWS application.
