The Department of Aeronautical Engineering, MVJCE, organized a “Capability enhancement program on Competitive exams and career counselling” from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, on 18th December 2021 in Association with Aerospace Engineering.
200 participants from the Department of Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering, MVJCE, attended this Capability enhancement program, enthusiastically. Prof S.C. Gupta & Dr. L. John Baruch organized the event along with the faculty members of the department.
Mr Hero Hemaraj, currently working as a data scientist at GE Aviation was the Guest speaker. He completed BE Aeronautical engineering from park college of engineering and wrote GATE and secured all India rank of 60 and joined IISc for Master of engineering under Aerospace department. His area of expertise is fluid mechanics and aerodynamics. He always had passion for teaching. He has been teaching Aerospace GATE Aspirants for more than last 10 years. Undergone “Green Belt” Training and developed comprehensive understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles. Won First Prize in the event of Glider Competition at FLIGEN 2009 (Technical Symposium of Anna University).
Evaluated performance and stability of aircraft by experimental flight performance data of Piper Saratoga in two sorties along with practical experience of aircraft instabilities (Dutch roll, phugoid) at IIT Kanpur in Flight Lab Training on January 2010. He has written a book for the Aerospace GATE preparation.
Mr. Hero Hemaraj started by explaining about competitive exams available for choosing the right career in the aero industry. He pointed out that step by step procedure to plan for the preparation of any competitive exams.
He has explained as, With the development of technology, the demand for aeronautical engineers is increasing at a good pace. There is broad scope for these engineers in both government and private sectors. They can find jobs in fields like; aviation organisations, air turbine production plants, design, and development areas, aircraft ventures, management companies, aircraft industrialised divisions, and teaching/coaching institutes.
