As a researcher, it is mandatory for one to understand the basics, have a core idea to satisfy the purpose of Research and establish an acceptable conclusion. This FDP provided an opportunity to the academicians to enhance their researching skills and understand research methodologies. This FDP program covered aspects relating to literature review, framing objective, collection of data, analyzing the data and finally framing it into a research paper or patent or funded proposal. This FDP aimed to orient participants towards developing their own research plan, with due attention to every stage of research.

With this objective in mind, Dept. of Information Science and Engineering, Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, along with IQAC, MVJCE, Bangalore, organized a Five-day Faculty Development Program on ‘Research Methodology and Data Analysis’, from 25.01.2021 to 30.01.2021. 66 faculty members and research scholars participated in this program.

25.01.2021 Research Problem identification and formulation Dr. Sreejith S S, National Institute of Technology, Calicut

On 25th January 2021, the Five-day Faculty Development Program on ‘‘Research Methodology and Data Analysis’ started, with a welcome address by Dr. Sanchari Saha, HoD, Dept. of ISE and Prof. Bhagyalaxmi S K, Assistant Professor, Dept. of CSE. Following the welcome address, Dr. Sreejith S S started his session on ‘Research Problem identification and formulation’. During his lecture session he discussed about the following aspects:
