Department of Computer Science and Engineering Report On Seminar On “Hadoop Technologies”

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering had organized a Seminar on “Hadoop Technologies” on 22^nd October 2021 at 10.30 am to 12.30 pm, for the B.E. Final year students of Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the Dr. M V Jayarman Auditorium of our college. 154 students have attended the event along with the Department Faculties

The Resource Person for the seminar was Mr. Raghavendra Lad, Technical Architect, Wissen Info Tech Bangalore, India. The Co-ordinator for the Seminar was Mrs. Tamilarasi (HOD-Incharge) and Dr.Bhuvaneshwari P, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, MVJ College of Engineering, Bangalore.

The event started with a prayer song. Mrs.Suguna S, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE welcomed the gathering. Dr. Mahabaleshwarappa, Principal, MVJ College of Engineering presided the event by giving bouquet to the chief guest.

The Seminar lasted for two hours and the topics covered are Hadoop Technologies, Tools and techniques used in hadoop, methods applied in hadoop, industry perceptive of hadoop, hadoop cluster, and hadoop distributed file system. The resource person gave the detailed presentation on the role of hadoop in industrial applications. In between the session, the quiz was conducted and the prize were distributed for the winners.The feedback was collected from the students and they have felt that the seminar was useful and excellent. The session was ended with the vote of thanks.
