Chem Life, the departmental Club of the Chemistry Department, organized a Club activity on Chemistry Sculpture Challenge on Polymers, on 10th February 2023, in Room No. 221 and Room No. 222. The event started at 10:30 am and concluded at 12:30 pm. Students found the event very interesting, interactive and beneficial, and actively took part in this Club activity.

Round 1: Preliminary Round

In this Round, 16 teams participated. The screening of the teams was done, by conducting a Presentation Round in which students had to explain the selection of polymers, sorting, categorization and classification of polymers by resin identification code of polymers, and explain their effect on the environment. The students expressed their ideas with enthusiasm and confidence.

Round 2: Final Round

In this Round, the students prepared the sculptures from the polymeric substances around them and demonstrated to the judges, explaining their sculptures and the polymers used in them. Students participated actively, and tried to use polymers creatively in their sculptures.
