Mr. Karthik Gopalakrishnan (1997 – 2001, Computer Science Engineering)
MVJCE marks and values the presence of an Alumnus Mr. Karthik Gopalakrishnan, Research Director, Gartner, class of 1997 to 2001 (Computer Science and Engineering) for accepting our invitation to come as Guest of Honor the Inauguration of the First Year B.E. Courses on 16th August 2018.
Mr. Karthik Gopalakrishnan currently works as a Research Director with Gartner, a research and advisory firm. He manages a team of over 50+ researchers and analysts who provide HR Talent Research and Workforce Analytics for Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to working with Gartner, Karthik worked in CEB as a Research Manager for over 3 years. While working with CEB, he played a pivotal role in establishing advisory services for a talent analytics product called Talent Neuron. Karthik was able to scale the team from a small size of 15 researchers to 40 in a span of two years.
Mr. Karthik has also worked with L&T Infotech for two and half years in the Corporate Strategy function. At L&T Infotech he worked closely with various business units by providing them business and competitive intelligence. Prior to L&T Infotech, Karthik worked as Research Analyst with Zinnov Management Consulting for over 4 years.
Mr. Karthik got an Engineering Degree in Computer Science from MVJCE in the year 2001. He has a Maters in Advanced Computing from Oxford Brookes Univeristy, UK and a Masters in Business Management from Westminster University, UK. He is currently pursuing his Phd in Organisational Behaviour from the University of Liverpool.
Mr. Karthik delivered a motivational talk to the budding engineers to dream big, not lose sight of what’s important, to choose friends for life and being the best possible engineer and a human being will always be remembered throughout their engineering years and after during the first yea Inaugural session. He also took time out to also meet with the students and faculty of the Department of CSE for a brief interaction.
