The Department of Civil Engineering, MVJCE organized an Industrial visit to Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), K R Puram metro construction, Bangalore-560016, Karnataka, India on Thursday (11.04.2019) and Monday (15.04.2019) for 3rd and 4th year students of UG (110 students) & 2nd year students of PG(Structures & Transportation).The faculty members accompanied are Prof. Shambhavi Tadkal , Prof.Tejaswini , Prof. Vijay , Prof. Harilekshmi, Prof. Shreyanka , Prof. Shivakumar , Prof. Surabhi.The main objective of the visit was to give a field experience to students on different concepts of civil engineering aspects.
The site in-charge for safety , Mr.Dinanath(Manager) gave the instructions about safety and then followed by Mr.Shishir Kumar (Project Manager)gave a wide view about construction practices in the site. byFurther students where taken to the Casting Yards and explained about the Precast Girders and driving of temporary casing and about the drainage pipe used for draining the rain water.

EVENT OUTCOME: The Field visit gave students an opportunity to explore their knowledge and co-relate the theoretical concepts to the field work. This satisfies partly with PO:4-Conduct Investigation on Complex Problems, PO:5-Modern Tool Usage and PO:12- Life Long Learning in the field of Civil Engineering.
