The Department of Chemical Engineering, MVJCE, organized a Club activity ‘CHEMUSEMENT’, on 10th December, 2021. The event started at 1:30 pm and ended at 4:00 pm and was attended by 80 students (27 groups) from the Chemical Engineering department.

The thought that led to the conducting of this event was: ‘Every day, we learn something new, but hardly bother to analyze our general knowledge, along with analytical skills’. This event aimed at making the students exercise their thinking skills and logical ability.

ROUND-1: INITIUM INTERBREW

The questionnaire in this Round not only tests the students’ knowledge of Chemical Engineering concepts but also covers topics such as Geography, basic Chemistry, Sports, Entertainment and Math. This Round was conducted for 30 minutes; 27 teams participated and received scores based on their performance.

The 2nd place was secured by Praveer B N (1MJ18CH008), Preetham T S (1MJ18CH031) and Sri Dikshaa H (1MJ18CH037) also from 7th semester Chemical Engineering.

The event was very interesting, interactive, and beneficial to the students. The students solved the questions, displaying a strong team spirit, they pitched in new ideas and actively took part in this virtual Club activity.

Outcome

“Knowledge is true if it’s based on logic, and not memory”. As a change from the regular curriculum, the students felt refreshed, and learnt a lot about time management, teamwork, presence of mind and logical thinking.
