About MVJCE


Established in 1982, the MVJ College of Engineering, the flagship of Venkatesha Education Society, imparts education beyond engineering and management. Situated on a 15-acre campus in Whitefield, Bangalore, MVJCE has state-of-the-art infrastructure, creating an environment for progressive learning and development. We are permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). MVJCE has on campus learning centers in collaboration with companies such as National Instruments, Infosys& Texas Instruments. Most of our programs are accredited by National Board of Accreditation

About Department


The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in the year 1982. ECE department is affiliated to VTU, Approved by AICTE and Accredited by NBA. Department has fulltime UG program in Electronics and Communication Engineering and PG program in Digital Electronics & Communication. Department conducts regular interactive workshops, seminars, conferences, intra collegiate competitions for technical skill enhancements and many other programs.
The department has well experienced and highly qualified faculty members, who have specialized in the latest areas of in Electronics and Communication Engineering, which includes, VLSI & Embedded Systems, Digital Communications, Communications Systems, Microelectronics, Control Engineering, Digital Electronics and Communications, Signal Processing, Electronics, Image Processing, Wireless Network Security, Computer Networks, and so on.  The department is an approved Research center under VTU.

ICDI3C-2018


Advanced technologies have focused to interact with the real time environment by integrating the methods of Compute, Communicate and Control (3C’s). In recent days, many methodologies have been proposed for integrating 3C’s to access data from real time environment. The objective of our International conference titled “Design Innovation for 3C’s -Compute, Communicate and Control (ICDI3C - 2018)” is to provide an excellent platform to bring together researchers, practitioners  from academia and industry to focus on understanding recent developments and establishing new collaborations in the field of Electronics and communication & Telecommunications Engineering. ICDI3C-2018 will be held at MVJCE, Bengaluru during 24th -26th April, 2018.

Presentation tracks   include Electronics   & Communication, Telecommunication, Medical Electronics, Computer Science   /Information Science and Management. Case studies from practicing engineers along with industries can also be submitted.

Research Scholars, PG projects and UG final year project innovations are kept in mind and dates are decided.     Prospective authors are invited to submit research papers & review papers in electronic (.doc only) format via email as per IEEE Conference Template.

Title: Artificial Intelligence: Recent Developments and Futuristic Trends

Abstract:
The quest for building human-like intelligence has gained enormous momentum in recent decades. Since the seminal works on Artificial Intelligence (AI), the desire of realizing the quest has become stronger. With the rapid developments in Science, Engineering and Technology, machines that mimic human intelligence have become a reality and sometimes indispensable parts in our daily life, such as Apple Siri and Google Voice.  Cognition is a group of mental processes that include attention, memory, producing and understanding language, solving problems and making decisions and making decisions. Cognitive robotics is concerned with endowing robots with intelligent behavior by providing a processing architecture that will allow it to learn and reason about how to behave in response to complex goals in a complex world. In this talk, recent developments of cognitive robotics with applications in the healthcare industry, domestic services, marine vehicles etc will be reviewed. The futuristic trends and challenges will also be discussed.
