          A Webinar on ‘Advancement of Machine Learning Techniques for IOT Products’ was organized by the ECE Department on 17th October 2020, in the online mode, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The speakers were Dr. Sudish N George (Professor, Department of ECE, National Institute of Technology, Calicut, India) and Mr. Nithin Padmaprabhu (IOT & Embedded System Engineer, Telecommunication Software and Systems Group (TSSG), Country Waterford, Ireland).

The webinar was presided over by Dr. P Mahabaleshwarappa (Principal, MVJCE), Prof. M Brindha (Vice Principal, MVJCE) and Prof. Vaman B Gudi (CoE & Registrar, MVJCE). The session started at 2:00 pm with 158 participants that included UG and PG students, and faculty members of various departments.

Dr. Sudish N George delivered an insightful talk on how embedded machine learning can make your existing devices even smarter, reduce operating costs, enhance the user experience, and even enable new products that were never possible before. The benefits and challenges surrounding these technologies were explored and the ways in which they could benefit us were demonstrated through a live demo.

Outcome of the Webinar :

The presentation was very interesting, with several videos and real time examples on Machine Learning Techniques. Several IOT products were also demonstrated.
