In pursuance towards unmanned aerial vehicles, a workshop was held during 20th July-02nd Aug 2016 in association with AVIAN Aerospace. Students from Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science and E&C departments attended it. Four different configurations (quad, hex, fixed wing and H) were taken up for design. Students were given the option of defining their own specifications so that the design could be done in an independent environment. The electronics, autonomous flying description were part of fabrication. The exercise encompasses the application of Aerodynamics, Stability and Control in a real aircraft model and helps the students to get some hands-on experience. Students under the guidance of Mr Dinesh of AVIAN Aerospace designed and developed mini-level models and flew them in the afternoon of August 2, 2016.
