| Courses |
|
Courses range from the cutting-edge to the more established and traditional; from Aeronautical Engineering and Biotechnology, to Mechanical and Chemical Engineering. The four-year courses that lead to a degree in Bachelor of Engineering (BE), adopt a University-mandated semester system of 8 semesters. Each semester runs 16 weeks. MVJCE offers Postgraduate programmes of two/three year duration in six sought-after fields.
The two year MBA and PGDM programme have been tailored to respond to the changing needs of today's multi-national businesses. |

The journey from campus to corporate can be a daunting one, fraught with challenges. Transforming the trials into triumphs is the Placement Division of the MVJCE. The role of the Placement Division goes far beyond placing all meritorious students before they complete their course.
Our training programmes are designed to improve confidence levels, analytical thought, presentation delivery, communication skills and technical know-how. MVJCE targets 100% placement for all eligible Institute graduates. |

| The MVJCE legacy is to make education available to all classes of society. The Dr M V Jayaraman Foundation provides scholarships for excellence in academics and sports at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. There are also various government sponsorships for reserved classes. |

| We encourage and train towards participation in national and international tournaments. We have a wide variety of games, such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey and Kho-Kho. There are also dedicated spaces for Indoor sport, including Table Tennis, Badminton, Weight Lifting, Power Lifting, The Institute is ranked among the top 3 in the university with regards to sports. |

| With 25 University ranks in the last 4 years, above 96% results every year, a ranking in the University Top 3 for Sports, and the first college under VTU to offer Aeronautical Engineering for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, MVJCE stands out for more reasons than one. We are ranked 6th in VTU by The Week, June 2011 and ranked 7th in Bangalore by Outlook, June 2011. |

| National-level technical extravaganzas, an annual cultural festival that hosts over 50 colleges from around the state, an annual Founder’s Day and Alumni Day are just some of the events that you will participate in at MVJCE. |

| Accommodation |
|
| Accommodation at MVJCE is separate for boys and girls. There are a variety of rooms to choose from, and every effort is made to ensure the comfort and safety of our charges. Other facilities include a vegetarian cafeteria, laundry, an on-campus SBI ATM, round-the-clock security, gym, 24-hour power supply, a dedicated drinking water plant and central bus services. Note that ragging in any form or degree is absolutely not tolerated at MVJCE. |

| Our faculty is highly qualified and armed both academically and with industry experience. Seven departments at the Institute have established research centres. Our infrastructure supports innovation, in the form of modern laboratories, large seminar halls, department libraries, internet connectivity and more. |

| MVJCE's well reputed fest 'Swayam' forms the plaform for state level cultural activities. The cultural group at MVJCE train year round with experts to enhance their skills. MVJCE also regularly features experts from the corporate world as opportunities for interaction and ways to enhance knowledge. We work with Infosys Technologies, Biocon, Unilever, and individuals to strengthen our training and development, and placement needs. |

| Health and Safety is very important at MVJCE. Our range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities underlines our interest in a holistic education. Our gym is modern and well-equipped. The food served at our multi-cuisine vegetarian canteen is hygienic and of the highest quality. There is a dispensary on campus manned by a qualified medical officer and nurse, and we offer life and accident insurance coverage to both faculty and students. |
