  Admission Process For Indian National Students  
     
Admission to Under Graduate Engineering Programs
MVJ College of Engineering is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.
Admission to MVJCE undergraduate programmes may be obtained through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) examination and selection process or through the Management admission process.
Karnataka Common Entrance Test
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test is conducted in the month of April every year. Students wishing to obtain admission to colleges affiliated to VTU have to write the KCET test. Based on the ranking obtained by the student in the KCET, admission may be obtained during the CET counseling Process.
Management Admission Process
Karnataka and Non-Karnataka students wishing to seek admission at MVJ College of Engineering through the Management admission process are requested to contact the admission cell at the college campus directly and obtain the admission application form.
The selection process will be purely based on academic merit and aptitude of the student.
Students should have appeared in the any one of the below Examinations for Management admission process:
  • Karnataka Common Entrance Test
  • Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority
    Examination
  • All India Engineering Entrance Examination
    (AIEEE)
  • Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka(COMEDK)

Post Graduate Diploma in Management
The Post Graduate Diploma in Management at MVJCE is an autonomous Programme approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The 2 year 4 semester course is designed by Industry experts and Academicians to ensure the course content is abreast with the latest industry requirements.
Management Admission Process
Students/ Professionals seeking admission into the PGDM programme at MVJCE would have to obtain the application form from the admission cell at the college campus. On submission of the application form the students shortlisted will put through an interview process prior to announcement of the final list of admissions.
The selection process will be purely based on academic merit and aptitude of the student.
Students should have appeared in the any one of the below Examinations for Management admission process:

Admission Process For Foreign National and Non-Resident Indian Students
Like the city it is situated in the environment at MVJ College of Engineering is welcoming to people from all nationalities. The college provides a safe and secure environment for all the students and faculty.
Foreign National students wishing to seek admission at MVJ College of Engineering through the Management Admission Process are requested to contact the admission cell at the college campus directly and obtain the admission application form.
 
The selection process will be purely based on academic merit and aptitude of the student.
The students are not required to appear for any of the tests. The college will conduct an interview and assessment process prior to granting admission.

  Eligibility Criteria for students graduating from Indian boards  
     
For Under Graduate Programmes
B.E/B.Tech
  • Students must have passed in II PUC /12th Standard or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/ Biology as optional subject, with English as one of the language of study.
  • Students should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% of marks in the above mentioned subjects.
  • In case of candidates from Karnataka, belonging to Scheduled caste, Scheduled Tribe and other backwards classes (Category – 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B) students should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 45% of marks in the above mentioned subjects.
  • Students should have appeared in any one of the entrance test conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka or Govt. of India (CET,COMEDK, KRLM, AIEEE)
 
For Post Graduate Programmes
MBA
  • Students should have passed the Bachelor Degree examinations with not less than 50% of aggregate marks in the degree examination by a recognized university.
  • In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Category – I, the aggregate percentage of marks shall not be less than 45%. This relaxation is only for Karnataka students.
MCA
  • Students should have passed the Bachelor Degree examinations with not less than 50% of aggregate marks in the degree examination with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Programming / Computer Applications / Business Mathematics / Business Statistics as one of the optional or electives.
  • In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Category – I, the aggregate percentage of marks shall not be less than 45%. This relaxation is only for Karnataka students.
M.Tech Aeronautical Engineering
  • Students who have passed the Bachelor Degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Aeronautical / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Civil Engineering / Industrial Engineering & Manufacturing / Industrial Production / Automobile Engineering or equivalent degree such as AMIE in appropriate branch.
Qualifying Entrance Test
1. GATE: ME, EE, EC, CE, PI. Or 2. PG-CET

M.Tech Computer Science & Engineering
Students who have passed the Bachelor Degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Computer Science & Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Information Science Engineering / Instrumentation / Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent degree such as AMIE in appropriate branch.
Qualifying Entrance Test
1. GATE: CS, EC, EE, IN, IT Or 2. PG-CET
 
M.Tech Digital Electronics & Communication
Students who have passed the Bachelor Degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation Technology/ Electronics & Telecommunication / Telecommunication, or equivalent degree such as AMIE in appropriate branch.
Qualifying Entrance Test
1. GATE: EC, IN Or 2. PG-CET

M.Tech Thermal Engineering
Students who have passed the Bachelor Degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Production Engineering / Automobile Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering / Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent degree such as AMIE in appropriate branch.
Qualifying Entrance Test
1. GATE: ME, PI Or 2. PG-CET

M.Tech Chemical Engineering
Students who have passed the Bachelor Degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Chemical Engineering / Polymer Engineering / Ceramics & Cement Tech. / Bio-Technology or equivalent degree such as AMIE / AMICHE in appropriate branch.
Qualifying Entrance Test
1. GATE: CH Or 2. PG-CET

M.Tech Structural Engineering
Students who have passed the Bachelor Degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree such as AMIE in appropriate branch.
Qualifying Entrance Test
1. GATE: CE Or 2. PG-CET
 
     
  Eligibility Criteria for students graduating from International boards  
     
For Under Graduate Programmes
Criteria for BE/B.Tech
  • Students must have passed in II PUC /12th Standard or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/ Biology as optional subject, with English as one of the language of study.
  • Students studying under General Certificate of Education or GCE should have completed their A level and O level examinations with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/ Biology as optional subjects, with English as one of the language of study. Students are required get a minimum of 3C’s and 1S.
  • No Entrance examination is required for International students. However a separate interview will be conducted by the college to grant the admission as per the VTU norms.
 
For Post Graduate Programmes
MBA and PDGM
  • Students should have passed the under graduation degree with not less than 60% of aggregate or equivalent in the under graduation degree examination by a recognized university.
MCA
  • Students should have passed the under graduation degree examinations with not less than 60% of aggregate or equivalent with Mathematics/Statistics/ Computer Science/ Computer Programming/ Computer Applications/Business Mathematics/ Business Statistics as one of the optional or electives.
