Workshop on Monitoring and Evaluation of Industrial Wastewater Parameters and Air Pollution Monitoring Organized by MVJ College of Engineering in association with the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, Bangalore Date: September 6, 2023

On September 6, 2023, MVJ College of Engineering, in collaboration with the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), organized a one-day workshop focused on Monitoring and Evaluation of Industrial Wastewater Parameters and Air Pollution Monitoring. The event aimed to address critical issues related to environmental pollution control and create awareness among students, professionals, and industry stakeholders.

Students of IV and VII semester Chemical Engineering along with the faculty started from MVJ College of Engineering at 9.00AM reached Central laboratory. The workshop commenced with a warm welcome to all participants, followed by the refreshments. Distinguished guests from the KSPCB delivered insights highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable industrial practices.

Mrs. Rathi, an eminent expert in environmental sciences delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the significance of monitoring and evaluating wastewater parameters and air pollution. The speaker shed light on the current environmental challenges and the role of monitoring in mitigating pollution.

The students were divided in to two batches accompanied by experts. The workshop featured a series of informative technical sessions, each conducted by renowned experts in their respective fields. Topics covered included:

  • Industrial wastewater parameter analysis
  • Air pollution monitoring techniques and instruments
  • Regulatory compliance and pollution control measures
  • Case studies and best practices

Participants had the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and demonstrations related to water and air quality analysis. These practical sessions allowed attendees to gain practical insights into the methodologies and equipment used in environmental monitoring. The workshop provided ample networking opportunities for participants to interact with experts. Attendees exchanged ideas, formed valuable connections, and explored potential collaborations.
