Seminar On ‘Data Analytics and Machine Learning, using R Studio’
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering had organized a Seminar on ‘Data Analytics and Machine Learning, Using R Studio’, on 9th October 2021, from 1.00 pm to 3.30 pm, for the B.E. III year students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in the Rajalakshmi Seminar Hall of MVJCE. 80 students attended this event, along with the Department Faculty.
The Resource Person for the seminar was Dr. Rajkumar Rajasekaran, Associate Professor, School of Computer Science and Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu. The Coordinator for the Seminar was Dr. Bhuvaneshwari P, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, MVJ College of Engineering, Bangalore.
The event started with a prayer song. Dr. Shaheen, Associate Professor, Department of CSE, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Mahabaleshwarappa, Principal, MVJ College of Engineering presided over the event. The Resource Person was felicitated by Mrs. Tamilarasi, HOD-in-charge, Department of CSE.
The Seminar lasted for two hours and the topics covered were Data Analytics, Exploratory Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Machine Learning, Social Network Analysis, Big Data Analytics, and Case Studies with R-Studio. The Resource Person gave a detailed presentation on the role of Data Analytics and Machine Learning, taking up examples of different types of data sets in day-to-day life. Feedback was collected from the students who found the Seminar very useful and excellent. The session ended with vote of thanks given by Dr. George Fernandez.
