Who heads this department?
Dr A K Satheesh Babu
Dr A K Satheesh Babu is a M.Sc. in Biochemistry from University of Madras and Ph.D in protein biochemistry from Centre for Bio Separation Technology -VIT University, Vellore. He has immense experience in downstream processing and protein purification techniques in India and abroad (Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, NY, USA). He has published three papers in international journals and has nine years of experience in the academic sector as a faculty in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Allied Life Sciences.

His areas of interest
Research interests include Protein Biochemistry, Downstream Processing / Purification Strategies, Protein Characterization, Enzyme Kinetic Studies and Biomolecule studies.
