ACHIEVEMENTS OF MVJCE IN ROBOTICS
 

 

Team Name: RGN (Rajshekar –Gowrish- Naveen)

Rajshekar P – 1MJ06EC074, Electronics and communication.
Gowrish B V – 1MJ06EC041, Electronics and communication.
Naveen Kumar S – 1MJ06ML014, Medical Electronics.

The above mentioned students of ECE Dept. and ML Dept. have been actively participating in various Robotics competitions at state, national and International level since Nov 2007.

These students have so far won in 24 competitions in the field of robotics at various colleges and Universities of south India during state level, national level and international level Technical Festivals.

They have won
15 – I Prizes;
4 – II prizes and
4 – Other prizes.

 

10TH Annual VTU Youth Festival (AISIRI) @ SBMJCE,Bangalore
15th-21ST FEBRUARY 2009

Amphibian -- An amphibian robot has to be built in such a way that it must navigate on land and also on water, finally climb up the slope from water to land.   MVJCE team won GOLD MEDAL (First Prize)

They participated in Robo-wrestling at VTU YOUTH FEST, held at SBMJCE on 18th Feb 09. They had to build a wireless wrestling robot which pushes the opponent robot out of the arena.  They Won a GOLD MEDAL (First Prize) in this event.

 

DAKSH’09- National Level Technical Festival at SASTRA University, Tanjore
13th -15th FEBRUARY 2009

  • Battle zone – An electro-mechanical robot (manually controlled) has to be designed which can push the opponent out of the arena or immobilize its movement and other functions to win the battle.

          MVJCE team won 2nd PRIZE

  • BOT MOBILE-- A wireless controlled racing robot has to be built that can complete the given race arena in least possible time, the robot should be meticulous enough to manage the control and speed of the robot and to overcome different terrains.

 
          MVJCE team won 1st PRIZE

  • Amphibian Voyager –An amphibian robot has to be built in such a way that it must navigate in all terrains and also in shallow water.                

      MVJCE team won1st PRIZE

  • Labyrinth le’ lines -- A completely autonomous robot has to be built that solves the maze in shortest time and also to find the shortest possible route from the start to the end of a maze.

          MVJCE team won 1st PRIZE

PRAGYAN’09 –National Level Technical Festival at NIT Tiruchirappalli.
12th –15th FEBRUARY 2009

Square root— Autonomous robot which must be capable of figuring out the largest loop it has traversed path and display the corresponding number.

KURUKSHWTRA’09 -An International Level Technical Festival organized by Anna University, Chennai
21ST –24TH JAN 2009

  • Micro Maze(Line Follower)- An Autonomous line following Robot has to be designed that has to reach the centre of the maze and come back to the starting position using the shortest possible path.

XCEED-KURUKSHETRA ’09 - an International Level Technical Festival organized by Anna University, Chennai

Our team participated in 2 competitions:

  • Robosoccer – A manually controlled robot which can navigate and hit goals and won 1ST PRIZE
  • Line follower ­– An autonomous line following robot has to be built which has to complete the given track in the shortest possible time.
