Sports
activities occupy a significant part
of the college curriculum at MVJ
College of Engineering. Besides
hosting the MVJ Memorial Cricket
Tournament, one of Bangalore's
most prestigious cricket tournaments
in the college circuit, the College
has also played host to the Mrs.
Rajalakshmi Jayaraman Inter
Collegiate Volley Ball Tournament,
since 2003.

Vishwanatha C N, Physical Education
Director. He has done M.P.Ed, M.Phil.
and Diploma in Sports Coaching. He
secured 3rd Rank in Mysore
University exams of degrees in
B.P.Ed & M.P.Ed. |

He has represented Karnataka in Hand
Ball senior Nationals two times and
was part of the team which won the
south zone senior National
Tournament held at Warangal, AP. |

He is on the panel of Karnataka
State Hand Ball Association as
Referee. |

He has been nominated as an approved
coach by VTU for the games of
Football, Handball & Ball Badminton. |

He has been nominated as a member of
the selection Committee for many
reputed bodies like, Karnataka Hand
ball Association, Karnataka State
Police, VTU (for the games of
Handball, Cricket, Football, Tennis,
Badminton, Ball Badminton and
Kho-kho). |

At MVJCE we have large Play Fields.
One of which is Flood Lit and also
fully concreted. We have excellent
facilities with latest updated
equipments & accessories. |

The latest inclusion is the State Of
The Art Auditorium with a sitting
capacity of 1000 persons. |

Yoga Training Cell with exclusive
facilities has been set up in the
campus. |

The Fitness Center with latest
updated equipments shall be
operational within the campus very
shortly. |

Tennis coaching camps in association
with reputed professional bodies are
being started this year. Judo/karate
coaching camps are being arranged
every year. |

| MVJCE received the cash award of Rs.
1,00,000/- from VTU, for being among
the top best five (05) colleges in
sports, out of more than 120
colleges across the Karnataka State,
in the year 2004-05. Every year our
students represent VTU in the Inter
University Tournaments, in various
games. |
