Engineering is a human activity aimed at creating new artifacts, algorithms, processes and systems that serve humans. An engineer seeks to create what never did exist (was). It is a privilege in any one’s career to embark on engineering education.

The MVJ College of Engineering, a premier Engineering College in the country, since its establishment in 1982, has been carrying forward the legacy of Dr M V Jayaraman. Guiding thousands of students on their way, shaping their future and making them Engineers, the country would be proud of. The passion for excellence that drives it can be seen in every aspect of this vibrant future – focused institution from its stringent recruitment policies and academic performance to its outstanding infrastructure and placement activities. The MVJCE is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and Government of Karnataka. The ISO 9001 – 2001 Certification from TUV Rheinland, further substantiates the high standards of excellence that the institution has set for itself.

The 15-acre lush green campus, strategically located in Whitefield, with an impressive built-up area of over 3.5 lakh sq ft, extends career building opportunities for about 3000 students every year in as many as 12 traditional and emerging disciplines in Engineering and four Post Graduate programmes. Highly qualified and well-experienced faculties mould and mentor the students for prospective careers. We are happy to place on record that our students make us proud by securing university ranks, within top ten regularly. This year six of our students have bagged ranks including the FIRST RANK in Medical Electronics.

As part co-curricular and extra curricular activities we conduct national and intercollegiate level seminars and workshops; encourage students to participate in technical paper presentation contests; organize lectures by experts from leading industries, conduct University sports meets etc. MVJ Memorial Cricket Tournament and Rajalakshmi Jayaraman Intercollegiate Volleyball Tournament, annual features organized by our college, are most prestigious tournaments in the intercollegiate circuits. Many of our students regularly form parts of university teams and a few part of State team.
